Building visit at the Paris Opera

The famous Paris Opera House, the Palais Garnier, symbolizes all the architectural and social renewal that took place in Paris in the second half of the 19th century. It is not by chance that the building is also called the Garnier Palace, since the architect Charles Garnier’s undisclosed goal was to make us feel like we were in a real palace, in a fairy tale, within the walls of the building.

During the visit, we fly back to the past, walk up the famous decorative staircase, tour the richly decorated lobby and salons. But there are many surprises waiting for us… which is the lodge of the Phantom of the Opera House and why was the ceiling fresco of the auditorium so criticized? *The Opera does not always guarantee access to the auditorium, it depends on the time of the rehearsals and information is only given on the given day.
